Words and News From Hee Yun

March 17, 1997 - Happy Birthday To . . .

Happy Birthday! Hee Yun's Little Home is 1 year old today ... 3/17/97 ... and still growing. Thanks everyone for all the support.

December 31, 1996 - Say-hay boke mahn-he pah-du-say-oh!

In a few hours clocks all over the world will strike out 1997 and ring in the New Year. I am sending you my sincere wish for much new happiness, health, and prosperity throughout the coming New Year. Say-hay boke mahn-he pah-du-say-oh!

December 20, 1996 - Merry Christmas!

"MERRY CHRISTMAS" What a wealth of meaning there is in those two words! They stand for joy, good feeling, good fellowship. To me, they will never grow old or trite. Some people have thought of fancier ways of saying these words. I've seen some tricky greetings and some beautifully written sentiments. But I believe that if I lived to be a hundred, I'd still stick to the sincere old-fashioned greeting . . . "Merry Christmas." I want to extend that greeting to you, since I cannot greet you face to face with a warm handshake. I want you to know that I'm all mighty grateful for the privilege I've had of hosting you. I hope the year coming to close was a good year for you and that 1997 will be even better. Doggaebbie sends his greetings too, and we both sincerely wish you . . . A Very Merry Christmas.

Happy Holidays

November 24, 1996 - A Kind Word of Encouragement From A Nice Guy

Dear Hee Yun, It was so refreshing to go exploring on your homepage, you did a magnificient job constructing it. Please take that sincerely! A kind word of advice: I read the messages that you said were from "boys" that were vulgar, tasteless and abusive. I ask you one favor... please do not glorify their stupidity by publishing their terrible comments. Messages sent to you of that nature should be flatly ignored by not wasting your valuable time in reading and responding to them. I am writing to you from Springfield Missouri in the United States, it is November 24th and the weather is turning very cold and is misting rain... later this afternoon it could turn into freezing rain and the streets and highways will become very slick. We have a pet here named "Lightening," he is a 3 1/2 year old Siberian Huskie... he very much enjoys this cold weather and doesn't like the warmer weather we have here. He's a quiet dog, very seldom barks and is very kind and loving. He is a dog that is very much addicted to love and attention! I must close for now, I know that you receive a lot of E-mail so I don't expect an answer to this message, okay? I just wanted to let you know that I appreciated your home page and encourage you to ignore the tasteless comments that might come to you in your E-mail. Your Friend, Stanley Koehler

September 2, 1996 - It Is My Opinion That . . .

My HTML style can be defined as a continuous try to create high impact pages that can be viewed fast even by users with 14.4k connections. That explains why I avoid using GIF Animations and Image Maps. As far as my dislike for frames goes, it is my opinion that navigating through the use of frames can be annoying and confusing for many users. Many of the problems originating from the use of frames will be posted here shortly. But normally they result in more difficult navigation and space lost (to logos, links and useless scripts). If you are interested in discussing about HTML coding, please email me.

August 5, 1996 - A Advice From My Friend Doggaebbie

Today I went to the dentist with Hee Yun. I was very scared! I saw a film about all the foods you should eat and about Mr. Plak and his friend Mr. Sugar (he is the one who always does the dirty work on your teeth). So I tell you don't eat too many sweets and if you do, brush your teeth afterward, please.

July 19, 1996 - To Everyone Who Has Touched My Life

To everyone who's touched my life and become a part of our virtual family, thank you so much for all you have given to me. Some of you know how very important this has been to me, and I hope that you will only hold happy memories of all we've shared. I have made arrangements to keep my pages online and updated constantly, so if you have suggestions for resources to add to my pages, please continue to send them to me. You may not get a reply, but someone will be reviewing the suggestions and adding those resources that are in keeping with the spirit of my site. Thank you for visiting Hee Yun's Little Home and enriching my life with your kindness and friendship. I wish you a life full of peace, joy, happiness, safety and love.

June 17, 1996 - I Was Busy Redesigning The Web Site Of . . .

Removed several outdated links and added some new entries to the Some of Hee Yun's Favorite Links. If you're wondering why I haven't added much to my site the past month, one reason is that I was busy redesigning the Web site of my employer, the Young Jae Computer School.

May 12, 1996 - Please Feel Free To Take Images, Words, Ideas, And . . .

There hasn't been much job done lately because school is taking its time. My intention was, and still is, only to have fun and learn something. I hope you will have learned something too, from or about my pages. Please feel free to take images, words, ideas and even source code from here, I myself feel that information should be free and what could be more free than this.

April 29, 1996

Guess what? Your genius friend got everything right on her English exam today. I know I did because it was so easy and I think I did almost as well in Assembly. I might have missed one or two, but I know it couldn't have been more than that. Isn't that exiting?

April 14, 1996

My birthday's coming up soon... Please stop by on April 19, and wish me well.

April 1, 1996

It's been two weeks since my homepage first being published. During this period, I've received several comments and suggestions from my friends, let me first take this chance to say thanks. Unfortunately, I could not get a chance to do a "major" revise mainly due to time limitation as well as academic workload. Now, I have added a few more functions to make "Hee Yun's Little Home" looks more "attractive", one of the major improvements is my GuestBook. Before you leave, please don't forget to sign it and see who else has been here and had enough courage to sign the GuestBook.

March 17, 1996

I never thought I would make a homepage myself. For those of you who at least keep a minimal of contact with me, you must have known (if not already knew) that my university only offers a very limited WWW or URL resources to the students; and the fact is, we cannot dial into this PPP accounts at home, which means we can only use the PPP accounts on campus during computer lab hours. There was a rage, back in half a year ago, that the undergraduate students at the Computer Science department really insisted on giving PPP/SLIP accounts to every students; but the result turned out to be quite disappointed. What I am trying to say is, WWW is still a new platform to me, if you ever experience any problems with this homepage, please write to me as soon as possible.
